Category Group Manager

As the Category Group Manager you will lead the development and deployment of the Assortment Strategy and Category Plans. You will oversee the global assortment for the related product categories of a leading e-wholesaler in Europe. We have more than 500.000 products delivered in multiple European countries. In this role it is crucial to coordinate and monitor the performance and customer needs, on both European and country level. In the current, very volatile market dynamics, it is key that we have the right assortment available for our customers. Together with your team you will be responsible for initiating, coordinating and realizing successful introduction of new product ranges.
You will lead 7 Product Manager and act as a liaison between E-commerce, Sales, Procurement, Marketing, Finance and Operations. As we are facing rapid growth, you will be responsible for managing and leading change processes and take the team along on this journey.
Setting-up sound pricing processes, -monitoring and -digitalization.
You will have a leading role in the implementation and adoption of the Assortment Strategy and the related Category Plans both global and local.
Setting up an Assortment Center of Excellence for structural assortment analysis to monitor performance in market versus competition and convert the data into relevant insights.
Enable market and competitive intelligence analyses to evaluate risks or opportunities in our assortment strategies.
Steer and monitor performance of assortment in the different product categories.
Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to educate local assortment managers and other business partners about assortment management best practices.
In this role you will report directly to the Director Product Management.
Who are you?
Completed bachelor or master’s degree.

You are an experienced people manager
Experience in a Retail/Wholesale environment.
Great networking skills.
As the team is based in various countries, you must be an enthusiastic remote leader.
You feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to respond to change.
