Category Buyer Forest & Grass Care
You define and execute supplier strategy and plans, meet value proposition requirements, protect profitability and enhance overall supply chain performance.
What is your role?
You negotiate prices, terms and delivery schedules to secure top market propositions and cost-effective rates. You drive supplier performance by monitoring against targets, initiating development initiatives, and addressing underperformance. You analyze market and competitor insights to make informed buying decisions and run tender processes to support tactical and buying, while maintaining a competitive and appealing product assortment
Your specific tasks include:
Stakeholder Engagement Contribute to stakeholder engagement by identifying stakeholders; by finding out their needs, issues, and concerns; and by reacting to these needs, issues, and concerns, arranging meetings and events and drafting supporting materials to promote understanding and commitment.
Business Planning Contribute to the development of annual business plans (Category Strategy & Plans); input to the development of business cases for key activities/projects and with estimating the financial and human resources required to deliver performance targets.
Supplier Portfolio Management: Manage and evaluate supplier portfolio performance, top line supplier distribution to create leverage and buying power and while reducing long tail suppliers, while ensure compliance with quality and cost standards, identify risks and opportunities, optimize supplier base for efficiency and value creation
Sourcing Collect and analyze the key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas of innovation, and alternative suppliers for a medium-risk area with some alternatives and medium costs to change, in consultation with relevant functions to provide solid market information for decision-making.
Buying Negotiate with vendors on product assortment and price. Involves working either on a small to medium category of products, merchandise, or services or on specified products and services within a large category.
Negotiations, Awarding and Contractiong: Conduct standard pricing, terms, conditions and SLA negotiation procedures or deliver required outcomes within the organization's
Supplier Relation Management Monitor, review, and highlight any gaps in the performance of a portfolio compared to the Agreement package and take action to recommend and ensure delivery of improvements by suppliers or to renegotiate or change contract/supplier.
External Partners - Compliance Management Monitor compliance of external partners within the organization's established systems to meet required standards and regulatory obligations.
Category Management Deliver specific category goals within a significant category plan/program in line with the organization's purchasing/procurement and/or sales strategy. Identify improvements to the plan/category program.
Cost Reduction Contribute to reviewing costs, generate ideas for cost reduction, and contribute to the implementation of cost saving initiatives.
Supply Chain Management Achieve specific goals for area of responsibility by working within an established supplier management, supply chain leadership teamplan or finding ways to improve supply chain perfomance.
Who are you?
For this job we have a couple of requirements.
Professional Experience
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level of Work Experience
At least 3 years of experience to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others
Basic technical knowledge about how the machines are built is needed.
