Transportation & Distribution Manager Cluster CEE

We are looking for a manager for a newly created position in our department for Transport & Distribution. Our new manager’s role will especially consist of strengthening and supporting the operational team thereby maintaining a stable environment in a dynamic growth process.

What is your role?  

The role of this position is primarily to manage the transportation, distribution and logistics of products necessary to meet business needs while maximizing efficiency and cost minimization. Participating in the development of business strategy and understanding the need to support their effective transportation and distribution function, responsibility for running the day2day business.

Your Team

You will report directly to Cluster Operations Director. As a member of our Cluster CEE Operational Leadership Team, which is located in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungry, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, Croatia, Slovenia and Bulgaria. You will make sure that we use our size and strengths on a strategical and tactical level to provide competitive solutions in the handling of orders to and from our different facilities and out to the customer.

In CEE region we have distribution centers in Modła Królewska (Poland) and Strullendorf (Germany) You will be able to organize your working days from our offices, which are located in every state of our CEE cluster. It is dependent upon you to choose the location!

Who are you?  

For this job we have a couple of requirements:

To succeed in the position as Transportation & Distribution Manager Cluster CEE, it is important that you have experience and an overall understanding of the processes in end-to-end Supply Chain Management. You have solid experience with negotiating holistic distribution agreements.  Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to manage an operational team in a large international set-up which will lay down the strategical direction on our growth journey.

You have several years of experience with similar responsibilities preferably obtained from a larger logistics, distribution or production company where cooperation with external transporters have been essential, experience in cooperation with a carrier will be a plus. Moreover, you have also experience in operational / tactical (service and cost) management of carriers and you perfectly manage the cooperation with Stakeholder. Cooperation with the financial and analytical departments is also an important aspect.

You are educated within freight forwarding and it will be an advantage if you have an additional degree within strategy and management. Acquisition of knowledge pertaining to the methodology of continuous improvement is highly esteemed.  Also, you have an interest in developing your skills and competencies even further. Many of your responsibilities will consist of contact with our international stakeholders, as well as, daily contact with our Kramp logistic facilities. Hence, you are an effective communicator and is fluent verbally and written in English.
