First Line Support Engineer!

Together with your colleagues, you will be the first point of contact for IT support questions of our internal colleagues. You ensure that first-line tasks are carried out and documented correctly, and you are responsible for identifying and preventing issues proactively.

Thanks to your extensive IT knowledge and customer-oriented attitude, you know how to quickly put our users at ease. You will be part of the 1st Line Support team, which consists of 5 colleagues. You will work from the brand-new Utrecht office and you’ll be supported by your direct colleagues located at our head office in Varsseveld, where the central IT is based with currently 150 specialists.
 

What is your role?

As a First Line Support Engineer, you will take full ownership of IT Support which is especially important at our new Utrecht office, where you will be the sole IT contact person and the main point of support for all IT-related matters. You fully embrace the challenge of ensuring smooth IT operations by efficiently resolving issues and providing expert guidance on IT-related matters. Additionally, your key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and processing tickets.
  • Resolving 1st-line issues.
  • Supporting users and advising them on IT issues.
  • Providing project support when necessary.
  • Reporting ticket progress to the IT Team Manager.
  • Escalating issues to the IT Team Manager when required.
  • Staying informed about the latest IT developments and keeping your knowledge up to date.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is confident and can handle responsibility, as you will be the sole point of contact for IT support in Utrecht. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively and maintain a customer-oriented attitude. You thrive on solving problems, show initiative, and remain flexible in a dynamic environment. You also recognize yourself in the following points:

  • At least a completed MBO level 4 in the direction of IT.

  • Certificates in the IT field such as ITIL, MCSA, MCSE.

  • Knowledge of and experience with user software (Microsoft Office, Windows, Active Directory, etc.).

  • Knowledge and experience with user hardware (laptops, PCs, printers, iPads and mobile phones).

  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written. Dutch is a plus.
