We are looking for passionate Senior Software Engineer Java who are excited to have end-to-end ownership of their domains, working within the full development cycle, and directly impacting the end user experience and value delivery promoting a product mindset by closely working with the business. 

About the Pricing team: 

The Pricing Team is an international cross-functional team, combining:

  • Software Development
  • Price Management
  • Data Engineering
  • Integration Engineering

Almost our entire stack is running in Google Cloud. We mainly develop in Java using Cloud Functions, Dataflow and BigQuery. Next to that we own a wide variety of pricing related tools which we own, maintain and support in close relation with our business.

Our software helps to:

  • Calculate prices for all products we sell (40 million+ prices).
  • Calculate the best discount for our customers (200K+ customers) in over 30 different countries.
  • Provide micro services for our webshop to always have the latest price and discount.
  • Enable (local) pricing managers to configure, calculate and simulate prices and promotions.

  

Who you are: 

  • You have solid experience with the Java ecosystem (5+ years).
  • You have experience working with Spring Boot.
  • You have familiarity with cloud environments, preferably in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • You are comfortable with using different types of storage, both relational and NoSQL databases.
  • You have experience building scalable and well-tested APIs, preferably both REST and GraphQL.
  • You have worked following a full-development cycle (and ready to do so).
  • You have experience with CI/CD environments
  • You have experience with DevOps
  • You have experience with Data Engineering
  • You have cultural awareness, sensitivity, and adaptability in building connections with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • You are a conceptual & critical thinker and can visualize a solution design to explain your ideas to the team.
  • You have a mindset of continuous learning.
