Java Software Engineer

We are looking for passionate Senior Backend Engineers (Java) who are excited to have end-to-end ownership of their domains, working within the full development cycle, and directly impacting the end user experience and value delivery promoting a product mindset by closely working with the business. 

 

About the teams you may join: 

  • We adopt the Customer journey approach in which each team is taking ownership of distinct teams such as Findability or MyAccount, etc.  

  • We foster an experimentation culture enabling teams to conduct experiments on our platform and pilot innovative ideas. 

  • Teams mainly work with Java and, in some cases, Kotlin, Golang, and React (as FullStack) within a fully cloud-based environment on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 

Who you are: 

(What will help you be successful in this role?) 

  • Solid experience with the Java ecosystem (5+ years) and Spring Boot. 

  • Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably in GCP and Terraform. 

  • Comfortable with using different types of storage: relational, NoSQL DBs. 

  • Experience building scalable and well-tested APIs. 

  • Experienced working in CI/CD environments. 

  • You’ve worked following a full-development cycle (and ready to do so). 

  • Others describe you as a proactive person who is eager to speak their mind and keeping a strong focus on delivering customer-centered solutions. 

Nice to have (based on your expertise, we can navigate you within the most suitable teams for you) 

  • Basic experience with Golang or excited to learn 

  • Proficiency in utilizing Elasticsearch.
