Product Owner (Cloud Platform)

Our mission is to enable product and platform teams to deploy and run their software securely, efficiently, and consistently, ultimately contributing to the value our product teams are delivering to our customers while also improving the satisfaction of our developers. We focus on providing blueprints, frameworks, and advocacy for seamless delivery on Google Cloud.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Product Owner to join our Cloud Platform Team. In this role, you will drive the strategic vision and execution of our cloud infrastructure initiatives. We love to see our product teams responsible end-to-end for their products when it comes to stability, performance security and cost control. The cloud platform team is committed to enabling this through infrastructure-as-code, providing frameworks and guidance towards the product teams. You will work closely with these cross-functional product teams to deliver value while aligning with our strategic goals and ensuring developer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Vision & Strategy:
Develop and communicate the product vision and mission for the Cloud Platform Team.
Align product initiatives with the strategic goals of improving security, cost control, and developer satisfaction.
Implement and monitor metrics and goals to measure the success and impact of initiatives, continuously driving improvements.
Backlog Management:
Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
Define clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with developers, platform teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
Evangelize the benefits of Terraform and other strategic initiatives to ensure adoption and engagement.
Delivery & Performance:
Oversee the implementation of Terraform blueprints and modules to support infrastructure provisioning.
Measure and report on key performance indicators, including security improvements, cost control, and developer satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and mitigate risks associated with platform initiatives.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Who are you?
You have proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a cloud or software development environment.
You effortlessly align with stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met.
You are passionate about driving change and have a knack for getting others excited about new directions and innovations.
You excel at clearly prioritizing tasks based on organizational needs, team dynamics, and stakeholder input, ensuring that the most critical projects always receive the focus they deserve.
Plus: Understanding of cloud infrastructure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
